Ken Spencer
President & CEO
Ken founded HR Service, Inc. in 2004 to provide HR, compliance, and employment law solutions for organizations nationwide. He has grown the HR Service team to become one of the nation's HR and compliance support leaders. Ken has over 30 years of HR experience. He holds a Master's in Human Resource Management and is SPHR-certified. Ken also taught HR compliance for 8 years at Westminster College.
Deborah Siddoway
VP of HR Solutions
Deborah has over 30 years of professional compliance, HR management, and consulting experience. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration, a BS in Business Management, and certificates in HR Management, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, and ACA. Deborah enjoys teaching, learning, and helping others. She enjoys singing and performing opera and Broadway, yard work, golf, and walking her dogs. Her superpower would be to remove hatred so she could help everyone understand different perspectives and communicate in a respectful way.
Austin Spencer
COO
Austin has a Master's in Business Operations and is a Goldman Sach's 10,000 Small Business Alumni. He has worked at HR Service, Inc. for over 10 years and enjoys how systematic processes work together to create multi-functional businesses. When not at work, he enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is also a "secret" pro-gamer. Austin's superpower would be being immortal so he could continue experiencing life, learning, and evolving.
Paul Christensen
VP, Partner Solutions
Paul has over 20 years of experience, helping him to provide guidance and ensure high-quality service for clients and partners. Combining a love of connecting with people and playing guitar, he was previously Director of Operations for Guitar Center. Paul is excited to be part of an amazing team that cares about each other and the clients we serve. He enjoys spending time with his family and eating Italian food.
Brianna Farley
Client Support Manager
Brianna leads the client support team, ensuring employees have the most up-to-date materials to manage their HR needs. She is certified in Business Management and IT and enjoys the customer-oriented culture and sense of community at HR Service. Brianna enjoys reading, writing, video games, spending time with friends and family, and taking care of her pets. Brianna is also a published author. Her superpower would be becoming a shapeshifter so she could turn into anything she wanted to get a new perspective on the world.

Holly Young
Senior Specialized Services
Holly has worked in HR for over 25 years. She holds a Master's in Leadership and is SPHR and CAC certified. Holly has been involved in all aspects of HR including compliance, recruiting, compensation analysis, training, strategy, and performance management. She was instrumental in building the ACA and 5500 service team for HR Service, Inc. Holly loves the diversity of working with different clients and industries and problem-solving. She enjoys traveling, dancing, storytelling, Pilates, and spending time with her family. Holly is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
David Norton
Senior HR Business Partner
David has over 35 years in HR, supporting clients in strategy, training, employee relations, employment law, talent management, succession planning, and documentation. He is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. David loves the variety of clients we serve and enjoys assisting businesses to attract and retain their workforce. He enjoys the changing nature of HR as there is always something to learn. He also enjoys classical guitar, hiking, and playing with his grandkids. His superpower would be to read a new labor law and immediately simplify it for clients.
Kim Matus
Senior HR Business Partner
Kim has over 15 years of experience in HR. She enjoys working with multiple clients to align their goals and objectives with tactical and strategic HR initiatives. Kim has extensive experience in training and development, organization development, policy design, employee relations, EEO compliance, performance management, staffing and classification, and recruiting.
Nikki Blanche
Senior HR Business Partner
Nikki holds a Bachelor's in Communication and has more than 15 years of experience in compliance, onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, and policy management. She loves being able to help clients meet and exceed government standards and industry trends. Nikki enjoys finding innovative ways to ensure communication is friendly, honest, and solutions-oriented. She resides in New Jersey where she is an active member of several neighborhood and pet rescue organizations. Her superpower would be to fly like a bird as it seems exhilarating.
Liz Warren, PhD
Senior HR Business Partner
Liz holds a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology and is SPHR certified. She has more than 10 years of experience specializing in executive coaching, compensation, people analytics, organizational development, psychology of the workplace, change management, succession planning, and leadership development. Liz enjoys the ability to use people data to drive organizational change that benefits everyone. She enjoys archery, camping, and hiking. Liz's superpower would be telepathy to make it easier to manage communication.
Melanie Wakefield
HR Business Partner
Melanie has over 15 years of experience in HR, including employee relations, compliance, recruiting, and learning and development. She specializes in manufacturing, trucking, engineering, and skilled nursing industries. Melanie enjoys fostering a positive workplace. Outside of work she enjoys interior design, yard work, spending time with her kids and grandkids, and eating seafood.
Melissa Bertoch
HR Business Partner
Melisa holds a BA and is SPHR and ACRE certified. She has over 20 years of experience in talent acquisition, compliance and recordkeeping, employee relations, organizational structure, and employee training and development. She has worked with organizations from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Melissa enjoys working with diverse companies, and is especially passionate about developing disability-accessible workplaces. She enjoys hiking, knitting, cooking, officiating weddings, and going on spontaneous adventures.
Dean Kipp
HR Business Partner
Dean holds a BS in Human Resource Management, a BS in Business Administration, and is SHRM-certified. He has over 10 years of experience in helping clients establish HR foundations and align goals and objectives with strategic HR initiatives. He has extensive experience in production, operations management, safety, and warehousing. Dean enjoys college and NFL football, hockey, fishing, and traveling.
Melanie Rimar
Compliance & HR Specialist
Melanie has over 2 years of experience in the HR industry. She loves that she is constantly learning new things in the HR field, especially the challenges of ACA. She enjoys the positive work environment at HR Service and the camaraderie. Melanie enjoys Mexican and Italian food. When not at work, she likes to work out, play golf, and spend time with her children. Her superpower would be to move things with her mind so she could easily clean her house.

Letrisha has over 5 years of experience in the HR industry and is Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensed with the state of Utah. She has experience in recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, employee relations, training, employee benefits, and HR administration. She enjoys working with different industries and employee groups to work on a variety of needs. Letrisha loves how everyone at HR Service works together to meet the needs of our clients. Gabrielle is certified in Project Management and has over 3 years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, and payroll. She also has experience creating SOPs, handbooks, and other supporting documents. She enjoys working in an ever-changing environment and loves working with a team that values learning. Anita Johnson
Compliance Coach
Anita has been a member of the HR Service team for over 10 years, specializing in compliance laws and regulations. She works with ERISA counsel to proactively identify regulatory changes and provide recommendations for necessary changes to ensure compliance is met. Anita brings excellent communication skills to cultivate positive and mutually beneficial business relationships while incorporating the strong ethics of HR Service. She enjoys gaming, gardening, yard work, and spending time with her grandkids.
Lance Nielsen
Compliance Coach
Lance was an insurance broker for 30 years, even using HR Service's SPD Wrap service for his clients before joining the team as a Compliance Coach. Lance has also been a professional balloon artist and magician for over 30 years.
Shaelyn Meacham

Shaelyn holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Her love for helping others and her drive for success brought her to HR Service where she serves clients as a Compliance Coach. Shaelyn loves learning languages, traveling, and teaching others.
